I’ve heard of people disagreeing with parts of the bible for the sake of their own enjoyment of the sin, but what about the people who intentionally ignore reading the bible? I’m not talking about atheists or people who want absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. There are actually people who believe that if they do not read the bible, they will not be penalized by God for what they do not know.
Imagine that: Someone commits a sin, and then he or she is excused from it because they “didn’t know” that it is forbidden by God. Seriously.
I cannot fathom the logic of this point of view because this selected few acknowledge a God, but they refuse to read the bible because the little they know, the less they will be penalized for. That’s just crazy to me. It seems worse than those who wait until the 11th hour to repent.
I don’t understand the logic either. Ignorance is not bliss. In fact ignorance is 1 part of the “one-way ticket to Hell.” As God’s Word says in: Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge.” God will judge all according to His Word and conscience: Romans 2:12-16. He Keeps records of all idle words: Matthew 12:36&37. God also Keeps records of all our deed, both of righteousness and wickedness: Matthew 16:24-27. And He will Judge it all at the end: Revelation 20:1-15.
And since the Lord Jesus the Christ is the Word of God manifested in flesh according: John 1:14, therefore by not reading this Holy Word, they are trampling the Lord under foot, by continual and deliberate sins, and to such there is no sacrifice, Hebrews 10:26-31.
That’s why the Church needs to get off the high horse of the prosperity messages and start preaching what sin is according to Gods “Holy” Word, according to God Holy and righteous standards or else they will have blood on their own hands of the people who are bound with this kind of illogical deception of satan that your blogging about according to: Ezekiel 33:1-20. Amen and great blog. God bless you, your family and your friends.
P.s. Im glad to see your eyes are opened.
My grandmother laughed at the “one-way ticket to Hell” part, but it is true. I think deep down inside they know that they are doing something wrong. I guess anything is easier than committing oneself to God. Thanks for the comment! God bless!
